Student Update for 4/30/20

Dear Your Eastern Shore Students,

Please note these deadlines for next Monday, May 4.

WITHDRAW DEADLINE IS MONDAY

We hope all of you will complete your classes this spring, but if you need to withdraw, you must do so by Monday, May 4. Just go into MYESCC’s Student Information System to submit your withdraw.

EMERGENCY GRADING SYSTEM OPT OUT DEADLINE IS MONDAY

For Spring 2020, the DEFAULT grading system will be a Pass, Withdraw, Incomplete system. Please see details on the ESCC Emergency Grading Policy document.

If you wish to remain in the A-F system

(1)    You must fill out the “ESCC Spring 2020 Grade Choice” form for each class.

*Will require Adobe PDF desktop software or for mobile devices, the Adobe “Fill & Sign” Form Filler available in app stores for Android and IOS.

(2)    You must email the form to your instructor and to gradechoice@es.vccs.edu.

(3)    You must email the form by May 4, 2020.

(4)    If you inform your instructor that you wish to use the A-F system, you will not be able to change to the P/W/I system.

(5)    If you do not request the A-F scale by May 4, 2020, you will be graded on the emergency P, W, I system.

There are also Virginia Foundation scholarships that ESCC students get each year: https://vfcce.org/for-students/scholarships-fellowships/  

The deadline for ESCC scholarships is in a couple of weeks. The deadline for Virginia Foundation scholarships is May 4, but we’re told that will be extended.
