Success Coach

The College Success Coach is responsible for working with a target population of college students to provide direct support and enhance their success in college. Interventions are aimed at fostering persistence leading to success-intermediate success and ultimately, graduation, transfer, and/or a career readiness certificate. This position communicates with faculty and staff in multiple college departments to ensure students have access to resources and support necessary for completion of their academic program. This position works with others to capture relevant data on student communications, interactions and success strategies. The newly hired positions will advance the College’s One Door initiative by being cross-trained and serving multiple units of the college. Some success coaches are responsible for student engagement through mentoring programs and coordinating tutors embedded into courses.

Assistant Coordinator for Student Advising

The Assistant Coordinator for Student Advising Services is a faculty ranked position. The Assistant Coordinator provides comprehensive advising to students, develops and implements advising training and services, serves as the Veteran’s Administration School Certifying Official and the College’s Chief Transfer Officer, and leads the implementation of the college’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). QEP coordination includes leading, managing, and coordinating the student onboarding and advising programs, policies and processes; serving as the primary new student advisor; facilitating with faculty and others the creation, assessment, and reporting of assignments, projects, and activities to assess student learning in relation to the QEP; and forming and leading the college’s Advising Workgroup. The Assistant Coordinator reports to the Coordinator for Student Services.

Education Support Spec. II

This position will support the College as it integrates the Academic, Student, and Workforce (ASW) units into a cohesive team to serve all learners who can benefit from the College’s programs. Provide excellent customer service as the College’s initial point of contact for learners seeking information about education, training, and career pathways. Apply a strong basic understanding of the functions of the ASW units to assist initial assessment of a learner’s needs and direct them to the appropriate next step in the process, such as admissions application, financial aid, and program completion. Serve as a bridge among various learner programs and services at the College. Cross-train on data management systems, such as the Student Information System and the Workforce Enterprise System. Security Officer II

The Security Officer position works to ensure a safe environment for staff, students and visitors of the campus. The purpose of these positions is for assistance to staff, students, and visitors by providing information, directions, and access to various areas of the campus. To protect property from theft or damage and protect persons from hazards or interference. Patrols campus to check for irregularities and responds accordingly by contacting emergency responders, if necessary.
