Saturday Enrollment Event Planned On August 12th As Fall Semester Approaches
Category: Academics07/03/2017
The fall semester at Eastern Shore Community College begins on Monday, August 21st. The last day for registration will be the 20th (online). As in recent semesters, there is no “late registration”, so students must already be enrolled at the beginning of class that Monday.
The popular “Take 13” Saturday program will begin on August 26th. After receiving state-wide accolades from the VCCS this past April, (the program won two top honors in the “New Horizons” Excellence in Education Awards), ESCC continues to offer this option for students who work full-time or cannot commit to traditional weekday classes. “Take 13” allows students to earn their credits with a one day per week schedule in two, 8 week sessions.
Offering options ranging from Early Childhood Development, Nursing, Electronics, and Small Business Management, all the way to Welding, HVAC, Electricity, Electronics, and more, ESCC provides a more affordable and faster route to successful careers. For students interested in four year schools, there is a guaranteed transfer agreement program in effect with a large majority of the Commonwealth’s most sought after institutions.
Registration is available online at es.vccs.edu, or by visiting the ESCC campus at Student Services. Special Saturday hours will be offered on August 12th, from 8:00am-12:00pm as a part of the Priority Enrollment Program where additional resources will be available to expedite the fall enrollment process. Students are urged to act as soon as possible to register, and not risk missing needed classes that may be reaching capacity.
