National Adult and Family Literacy Week September 26 – October 1

The Adult Education Program and the Eastern Shore Literacy Council will be open at their location at the Eastern Shore Community College and will be available at Kiptopeke Elementary School on Tuesday, September 27th from 5:00-7:00 PM to celebrate National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week September 26th – October 1st which raises public awareness about the need and value of adult education and family literacy for the 36 million U.S. adults with low literacy skills.
Information will be available on College and Career Readiness classes (formerly GED® classes), English for Speakers of Other Languages classes, and free Basic English tutoring. You can take the GED® Ready practice test for free (normally $6), have a snack, and bring home a story book for your children.
