Two-Day Shore Tour Includes a Stop on Campus

Virginia Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears was on the Eastern Shore this week as a part of a two-day tour with Delegate Rob Bloxom. In addition to various stops and social functions, Sears took time to visit Eastern Shore Community College and tour the Academic Building on campus in Melfa.

Vice President Dr. Joey Walter, ESCC Foundation Director Patty Kellam, and Workforce Solutions Officer Scott Hall led the tour with highlights including welding and flex labs, allied health classrooms, and Dr. Alex Foxworthy’s Bio lab. The group shared recent success stories from a number of ESCC programs and Workforce offerings.

Lieutenant Governor Sears was presented with a “YES!” lapel pin representing ESCC’s mission and commitment to the community, and a “Your Eastern Shore” care package.
