ESCC Offers College Transfer Fair This Tuesday October 25th
09/19/2016
The Eastern Shore Community College Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is sponsoring a College Transfer Fair this Tuesday, October 25, from 12:00pm-3:00pm in the Great Hall of the Workforce Development Services Building on the campus in Melfa. This Fair affords students an opportunity to meet admissions representatives from over twenty schools from Virginia and Maryland. The event is free and open to the public. There will also be snacks, door prizes, and free materials and giveaways from attending schools.
The Transfer Fair offers a wonderful opportunity to speak one on one with the schools, and to gather literature and useful information about each institution. Many of the schools participating have guaranteed admissions agreements with Eastern Shore Community College.
ESCC encourages students and parents to attend the fair, as well as to obtain first-hand materials from four-year representatives. The more knowledge the community has about their options for higher education, the sooner the informed decision-making process can begin. The Transfer Fair will shed some light on the transition process from community college to four-year institutions and hopefully excite our community of students, future students, and parents of students regarding a range of transfer opportunities and the benefits of beginning their educational journey at ESCC.
Schools participating include Belmont Abbey College, Bluefield College, Christopher Newport University, Devry University, James Madison University, Lynchburg College, Mary Baldwin College, Radford University, Randolph College, Regent University, Salisbury University, Sweet Briar College, The Apprentice School, University of Mary Washington, University of Virginia, Virginia Wesleyan College, Wilmington College, and University of Maryland Eastern Shore. There is the likelihood of additional schools attending the fair as well.
