ESCC Moves To Remote Instruction Monday
03/20/2020
A Message To Students From Dr. Patrick Tompkins:
Dear Your Eastern Shore Community College Students,
At ESCC our YES! is you.
For that reason, to protect your health and safety, beginning on Monday at 5:00 p.m. our campus buildings will no longer be accessible to students or the public.
Almost all classes, except those that require on-campus instruction, will move to remote instruction effective Monday, March 23 and continue until such time as return to campus is safe.
Classes that require on-campus instruction will be suspended until further notice. Our hope is that the Eastern Shore community will return to good health before the semester ends so we can resume instruction. We will keep you posted as the situation develops.
All faculty have been asked to email all students’ ESCC email accounts with information on how each course will proceed. Please check your ESCC email and the Canvas shell for each class.
Northampton dual enrollment students will continue their classes through remote instruction.
Dual enrollment classes at Accomack and Broadwater will be suspended until further guidance is provided.
If you have questions about your classes, please email your instructors. If you have more general questions about college operations, you are welcome to email healthsafety@es.vccs.edu.
Again, to us, each of you is an Eastern Shore YES! We will do everything we can to keep you safe, to serve you, and to help you achieve your educational goals.
Sincerely,
p…
Patrick Tompkins, Ph.D.
