Melfa, VA – Representatives from several colleges and universities will participate in a transfer fair for students interested in attending four-year schools.  The fair will be held on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Eastern Shore Community College.  In addition to providing information about the admissions process and degree programs, the college representatives will discuss financial aid, scholarships, and other related issues.  Many of the colleges participating have transfer agreements in place with ESCC.

Participating institutions include:  Bryant & Stratton College, Liberty University, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University, United States Army, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Virginia Wesleyan College, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, William Peace University, and Wilmington University.

Fair organizer and transfer counsellor, Jody Baggett explained, “The information that will be provided to students will vary from school to school, but a smooth transition to a four year college or university is the goal.”

Current and prospective Eastern Shore Community College students are invited to attend as well as  high school students and adults interested in furthering their education.  The free event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the college’s Workforce Development Center.  Contact Jody Baggett at 757-789-1720 for more information.
