2015 Commencement Ceremony

Melfa, VA – The forty-fourth Annual Eastern Shore Community College Commencement Ceremony was held Friday, May 15, on the college lawn. Two student members of the ESCC All Christians Together in Service (ACTS) group, Colbourne Tyson and Brittany Saunders, offered the invocation and benediction. The Commencement Marshal was Jerry Fluharty, Associate Professor of Mathematics, who recently retired after 31 years of full-time work at the college. Captain John Robinson, Commanding Officer for the Surface Combat Systems Center on Wallops Island gave the commencement address. The national anthem was sung by Florence Enoch.
The 2015 Co-Valedictorians, Anna Elizabeth Taylor and Mary Caroline Taylor, addressed the graduates. Recognized for having the highest transfer grade point average was Guadalupe Marquez. Recognized for having the highest occupational/technical grade point average was William Alexander Collins, Sr.
