I am delighted to serve as your new president, and I invite you to explore our growing number of programs here at Eastern Shore Community College.  I was drawn to this position for a number of reasons.  First and foremost, our faculty and staff are dedicated to their work and always put students first, regardless of the degree or workforce development goal.

We prepare students for exciting, high demand, well-paying jobs, and we offer degree programs that articulate directly into Virginia’s four year institutions.   ESCC is a wonderful place to begin your educational journey because we provide affordable, low cost, high quality programs.

ESCC has state of the art facilities.  Our Workforce Development Building provides excellent teaching and learning environments for a variety of practical programs.  Our simulation lab for allied health services provides hands-on learning experiences for health care students and opportunities to partner with Eastern Shore Rural Health and Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.  With the opening of our new Academic and Administration Building in January 2020, we are growing. This $22 million facility will include cutting edge classrooms, specific space for student group learning, new laboratories, and a new welding lab.

One of the most impressive things about Eastern Shore Community College is the support we receive from the community.  ESCC is recognized as one of the great jewels on the Eastern Shore and as such, we are committed to finding new and better ways to serve our community through developing additional certificates and learning opportunities to build our workforce and partner with local and regional organizations.

CNBC recently referred to Virginia as the “best state to do business in.”  We’re excited to contribute to that status by growing our curriculum to answer the needs of employers on the Shore and beyond.
