Dr. James Shaeffer has announced that his successful career at Eastern Shore Community College will conclude with his retirement at the end of the 2024-2025 academic year. The next ESCC president will build on the legacy of Dr. Shaeffer and previous leaders to keep moving the college forward in serving students and the community.

Your input is essential in helping us find the next president of ESCC. The Eastern Shore Community College local board seeks your insights as we begin to develop a position announcement for the next president. We are asking for input from our alumni, students, faculty and staff, ESCC Advisory Board members, ESCC Foundation Board members as well as regional business leaders and other community stakeholders to help identify the most significant priorities for the college and the leadership qualities necessary for the next president of ESCC.
