Eastern Shore Community College will be conducting an Information Session on Chincoteague Island, on Thursday August 3, from 3:00 pm- 6:00 pm.  The session will be held at the newly opened Island Theater Annex, in cooperation with the Chincoteague Island Arts Organization.
Representatives of various programs at ESCC will be present to share information and materials.  One program represented will be Adult Education, which is gauging interest in offering GED/ College and Career Readiness for citizens of the island beginning this fall.  Other offerings that will be covered include the “Take 13” Saturday classes, guaranteed transfer agreements with Colleges and Universities across the Commonwealth, Workforce Development Services credentialing and certifications including hospitality and customer service, and of course the upcoming Fall 2017 semester which begins on August 21.

This will be an ideal opportunity for residents of Chincoteague to visit with ESCC administration and faculty, ask questions, and receive materials on the many resources available through our local Community College.
