WHO
Virginia’s Eastern Shore Students, Grades K-12
Lower Primary Division (K-1)
Upper Primary Division (2-3)
Elementary Division (4-5)
Middle School Division (6-8), and
High School Division (9-12)

WHAT
Exhibits of projects (working models or other visual presentations) demonstrating a scientific principle or solving a problem by scientific method. Projects will be judged on visual presentation, scientific method, and student interview. Students are expected to accompany their projects to the Fair.

WHEN
Saturday, April 29, 2017
• Projects may be set up between 8 am and 9 am.
• Students must be set up when judging begins at 9 am.
• “Mad Science” Show begins at 11 am.
• The Science Fair Awards will be presented at 12 Noon.

HOW
Science Fair entry forms are available from science teachers and principal’s offices at each school. You may also obtain an entry form by contacting Robin Rich-Coates, 789-1726,
rrich-coates@es.vccs.edu. Entry forms are continuing to be accepted the week of the event.

PRIZES
For each Division:
1st Prize Trophy and $50 Gift Card
2nd Prize Trophy and $25 Gift Card
3rd Prize Trophy and $25 Gift Card
Two Honorable Mentions Trophy
Environmental Award* Trophy and $50 Gift Card

*A special award will be given for projects that deal with environmental issues.

All students entering the fair will receive a certificate of participation.
