Regional Job Fair To Be Held April 10th at Workforce Development Services

Category: Community, Students

Eastern Shore Community College is looking forward to another successful collaboration with the E.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Chincoteague and Northampton County Chambers, and the Virginia Employment Commission, with this spring’s Regional Job & Career Fair on Wednesday, April 10.  The event will be held at the college’s Workforce Development Services Center from 10:00am-1:00pm.
In recent years the event has featured participation from a broad and diverse offering of regional employers from across Delmarva and Hampton Roads. These participants have expressed great satisfaction with the number of qualified job seekers attending, and with their level of engagement and professional interest.

The Job Fair benefits from the partnership of the three chambers, and their valuable connection to the Shore’s business community, the VEC’s knowledge of the local job climate, combined with ESCC’s commitment to workforce development and elevating the skilled workforce of both counties.

There will be two “Job Seeker” Workshops conducted in conjunction with the event at 9:30am and 10:30am.  These will offer tips and guidance that will maximize success in finding employment and getting the most out of the job fair.

There are a limited number of spaces remaining for employers.  Applications are available online at, or through the ESVA Chamber of Commerce in Melfa.  Employers may contact Sandra Johnson at 757-787-2460, or email  A list of employers/vendors will be released on the ESCC website and social media in the week leading up to the event.
