Melfa, VA –The ESCC Foundation has received a donation from the Northampton High School class of 1958.  At a gathering in July, the members of the class decided to contribute funds that had been on hand for several years.  According to Caramine Kellam, “We know that there are students that sometimes ‘fall through the cracks’ with financial aid, especially in the summer months, and we’d like the funds to help someone in that situation.”  Specifically, the one-time scholarship will be used to assist a student in the Nursing program at ESCC taking classes during the summer semester in 2014.
If you’re a member of an organization that has unused funds and is looking for a worthy cause, consider the ESCC Foundation.  Contact Eve Belote at 757.789.1767 or ebelote@es.vccs.edu for more information.
