CompTIA A+ FastForward Class
CompTIA A+ is being offered at ESCC starting Jan 10 thru March 30. Classes will meet on campus Tuesday & Thursday evenings, 6-8:30pm, taught by LoriAnn Kelley. A+ is the industry standard for establishing a career in IT and is the preferred qualifying credential for tech support and IT operational roles. The class prepares students to troubleshoot, problem-solve and understand a wide variety of issues from networking and operating systems to mobile devices and security. Students who successfully complete the class and pass the credentialing exam may also receive academic credit from ESCC, as well as a $1,000 stipend from the Virginia Ready program. The class is offered through Virginia’s “FastForward” program, which automatically pays for 2/3 of the class cost of $2,502. Financial assistance is available to help students with the remaining 1/3 share of $825. Contact workforce@es.vccs.edu for more information.
