This information is for students who are:

• taking pre-admission courses for the PN or RN programs
• finished with pre-admission courses and ready to apply to either or both programs to be considered for fall admission

Contact advising@es.vccs.edu with questions regarding these programs, applications, deadlines, and to find out classes that may need to be taken during the second eight-week session beginning the week of March 14^th.

Registered Nurse program:

Tidewater Community College’s (TCC) RN program brochure has important instructions regarding the application process and the RN application towards the end of the packet.

February 15^th is the application deadline.

• Applicants must have already attended TCC’s information session. Students working on prerequisites are encouraged to register for one as soon as possible: https://help.tcc.edu/s/article/Nursing-Information-Sessions
• The RN application is supplemental to TCC’s application which must also be completed: www.tcc.edu/apply.

• Note: PSY 200 is no longer required in the RN program. Instead, MTH 154/155/or higher level is required.

*Additional Nursing Admission Assessment (HESI A2) Registration and Payment Information:

• The HESI A2 exam required for application to the RN program may be taken at home. Students need five hours of uninterrupted time with steady Internet connection, a webcam, and audio capability on their computer.
• Students may contact Terri Long or Ryan Webb in the LRC (rwebb@es.vccs.edu) to schedule a time to take it on campus. To request testing accommodations for a disability, email oea@tcc.edu.
• There is a fee of approximately $70 (subject to change) for the HESI A2 Exam. You must have both an Evolve account and a ProctorU account to purchase the exam. Use this link for instructions on how to set up your Evolve and Proctor U accounts, make payment, and make an appointment to take the exam.
