College Enrollment Navigator

The College Enrollment Navigator serves as a resource and guide to prospective students, applicants, and enrolled students. Through a variety of means (e.g. recruitment fairs and social media), the Navigator conducts initial outreach and inquiry response to a wide range of prospective students, such as pre-dual enrollment students and career switchers. The Navigator’s duties will span the range from initial outreach, to career and educational guided pathways, to enrollment, to retention and completion. This is accomplished by outreach and recruitment, monitoring prospective student and applicant progress throughout the enrollment process, responding to all questions/inquiries, providing information about Eastern Shore Community College career and educational pathways and the enrollment process. The Navigator will enhance enrollment in academic and workforce programs by cultivating relationships with prospective students and decreasing the length of time spent from being interested in college to registering for college. The Navigator will assist those students who are ready to enroll with the goal of completing all aspects of the enrollment process, except financial aid, within 1-2 business days. The Navigator is not expected to be all-inclusive content matter expert; however, they will have expertise in connecting with experts to allow for seamless onboarding. The Navigator will receive training in the Culture of Care prior to meeting with students, a toolkit for on-the-job reference, and required ongoing professional development throughout the year.

Student Services Assistant – Help Desk

The Student Services Assistant will provide help desk services which includes receiving visitors in the student services lobby, directing them to appropriate offices, assisting students with the electronic application and enrollment process, providing general information, answering phone calls, scheduling advising and direct enrollment survey, and assisting Student Services offices, as needed.

Nursing Faculty -Program Coordinator (12-month)

This position is responsible for all aspects of the ESCC’s Practical Nursing program, including the administration, planning, continuous review, development, and general effectiveness of the program as well as all duties as defined for full-time faculty. Responsibilities also include meeting and maintaining program accreditation requirements, systematic review of program effectiveness among didactic, laboratory, and clinical components, student recruitment, committee assignments and serving as a liaison with health care facilities.

Teaching responsibilities include Instructional Design, Delivery, Effectiveness, and Expertise. Additional expectations include Scholarly and/or Creative Engagement, Institutional Responsibility, and College and Community Service.

Teaching Faculty in Mathematics

The major focus of this position is on teaching and inspiring students from a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences to learn by working in classrooms, laboratories, individual conferences, and online. Faculty empower students to enhance the quality of themselves and their community by engaging students outside of class in support of curricula. Faculty teach courses in the disciplines for which they have appropriate education, training, and competence and will be required to teach on-campus, online, hybrid, and off-site classes as needed.
Teaching responsibilities include Instructional Design, Delivery, Effectiveness, and Expertise. Additional expectations include Scholarly and/or Creative Engagement, Institutional Responsibility, and College and Community Service. Trades Assistant

Position Summary: This position will perform manual maintenance, grounds, trades and custodial tasks in and around campus buildings and grounds. Building maintenance and custodial duties to include classrooms, offices, conference rooms, hallways, labs, restrooms and lectures halls. Assist in moving furniture and equipment; stripping and waxing floors; setup and breakdown for special events; maintaining approximately 113 acres of grounds including mowing, weed control, landscaping and pruning. Assist with cleanup associated with inclement weather conditions.

This position is considered essential and may be required to report to work during inclement weather and/or emergencies. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Security Officer II

The Security Officer position works to ensure a safe environment for staff, students and visitors of the campus. The purpose of these positions is for assistance to staff, students, and visitors by providing information, directions, and access to various areas of the campus. To protect property from theft or damage and protect persons from hazards or interference. Patrols campus to check for irregularities and responds accordingly by contacting emergency responders, if necessary.
