Part-Time Membership Coordinator/E.S. Association of Realtors
The Membership Coordinator, Part-Time will work as a team with the Executive Director to provide
prompt, courteous service to REALTOR®, affiliate, and Multiple Listing Service (MLS) members at the
Eastern Shore Association of REALTORS (ESAR) in Onley, VA. The objective is to retain ESAR current
member base and continue to strengthen the Association and MLS by supporting the services, benefits,
and resources offered. The individual is employed by Organization Management Group (OMG) and
assigned to ESAR as their sole client.
Supervisor: Executive Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Duties:
- Provide friendly, responsive support to ESAR members through phone, email, and in-person
interactions, in conjunction with the OMG support staff. - Answer questions about Association and MLS membership options, costs, and related benefits.
- Process new member applications and help ensure they receive timely and smooth access to all
necessary systems. - Maintain accurate membership records and handle routine updates.
- Offer basic assistance with Association benefits, MLS systems, lockboxes, and other related
technology and tools. - Support members with MLS listing updates, resetting passwords, making payments, registering
for events and classes, and other membership-related tasks. - Assist during events, classes, and other activities, including occasional support at local venues
outside the main office. - Perform routine office and administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly and the
office orderly. - Work independently at times to ensure consistent in-office coverage.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed or directed.
General Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills.
- Friendly and professional, with the ability to respond to questions or concerns in a respectful
manner. - Proficient with Microsoft Office, online tools, and general computer technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to handle a variety of tasks and manage time effectively.
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Capable of working independently and exercising sound judgment when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing or support role is preferred but not required.
- Experience in real estate or a related field is a plus, but not required.
- Due to conflict-of-interest considerations, applicants may not hold an active real estate license.
Additional Considerations: - Ability and willingness to lift, bend, push, and pull tables, chairs, boxes, etc., with or without
reasonable accommodation, as may be necessary to ensure that office materials and areas are
orderly, and to set-up and tear-down for meetings, classes, and other events. - Means to travel independently to locations other than the office for occasional offsite event
support.
Work Environment, Hours, Growth Potential: - This position will work at the ESAR office, located in Onley, VA.
- This is a part time position, approx. 16hrs/week. The actual days/hours of shifts are negotiable
and may vary. - ESAR is an enjoyable and collaborative office, focused on service.
- This position will be working closely with the Executive Director to learn the real estate industry,
Multiple Listing Service (MLS) systems and industry, and association management in general. - For the right candidate, this position has the potential to expand into increasing hours,
responsibility, and a career in MLS and REALTOR® Association management.
