Admissions Application

Steps for Students – who plan to pursue a degree or certificate at ESCC

Complete an Application for Admission

Our application form is online. If you are uncomfortable in completing an application online, please contact the college for assistance.

For Registered and Practical Nursing and Medical Assistant Programs:
Submit an official high school transcript or GED test scores.

If you have attended other colleges:
Contact the college(s) to request that official academic transcripts be sent to the ESCC Admissions Office. Students wishing to receive credit from another VCSS college do not have to submit transcripts from those colleges since your records are available to ESCC through the VCCS Student Information System. Please be aware that most schools will charge a fee for this service.

Call 757-789-1720 to schedule a testing date and time.

New students seeking a degree or certificate must take placement tests in English, Reading, and Mathematics. The results of these tests help students and advisors determine an appropriate course schedule.

Students whose scores indicate specific weaknesses may be required to enroll in and successfully complete skills improvement courses prior to college-level work.
