- Check your ESCC Gmail for instructions on how to order your books using financial aid.
- Don’t wait. If the deadline for using financial aid closes, you will have to pay for your books out-of-pocket.
The biggest mistake a new or returning college student can make is signing up for classes then not prioritizing academics. Attending college is a choice. Students are expected to know their class schedules, complete classwork on time, and communicate respectfully and effectively with instructors after the advisor hand-off. Excuses regarding work schedules, lack of childcare, lack of transportation or lack of technology are not valid reasons for failing to complete college classwork on time. College instructors are not obligated to extend deadlines or keep assignments open indefinitely. The expectation is that students will prioritize their academics, respect the opportunities before them and do their best.
