Bookstore

The ESCC Online Bookstore offers convenience to students with expanded availability of bookstore services online, no waiting, 24/7 ordering, and free shipping to ESCC campus for all instructional materials.

Fall Semester 2025 Update:

Just a quick reminder that the Follett Bookstore will be open for Financial Aid purchases starting Monday, August 11th. If you’re planning to use your aid to get your course materials, here’s what you need to know to make the process smooth:

  • Make sure you’ve authorized the Bookstore in your SIS To Do List. This step is key to using your financial aid for textbooks.
  • When placing your order, always use your school Gmail account. That helps make sure your order goes through without a hitch.
  • If you want free shipping, have your books delivered to ESCC’s address. Easy and free—can’t beat that. Just use this format when entering the shipping info:
  • YOUR NAME
    29316 Lankford Highway
    Melfa, VA 23410
  • If you’re waiting on your books to arrive, check to see if there’s a free trial access option for your course materials. But seriously, don’t wait to order. Get it done early so you’re all set for day one.
  • Planning to use Financial Aid? Be sure to get everything for your 8W1 and 8W2 classes by September 4th. After that date, you’ll have to pay out of pocket.

Need a hand with ordering or have any questions? No problem. You can:

  • Check out the Bookstore FAQ for answers to common questions
  • Come visit us in Student Services or email.

And to make things even more convenient, our team will be staying open later on these days:

  • Tuesday, August 12th: Open until 7:00 PM
  • Wednesday, August 13th: Open until 7:00 PM

Enter Bookstore

The ESCC Online Bookstore is managed by Follett, which provides all types of textbooks, including traditional (new and used), rental, and Ebooks. You’ll also find a wide variety of school apparel, electronics, supplies, and more, all at the online bookstore.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • In order for students to use their Financial Aid on the Follett website, they must complete the Bookstore Authorization available in SIS once a year. (Wait 24 hours for the authorization to process.)
  • The VCCS (Virginia Community College System) Bookstore policy states: Students using financial aid in the College Bookstore may purchase only required books and supplies that correlate with registered, eligible courses for the term. This means that items such as course-related electronics outside of laptops (e.g., tablets, cameras, and scientific calculators), uniforms, and tools may only be purchased if they are listed as required on the course syllabus.
  • Students may use their financial aid to purchase textbooks and must do so within the 2-week time period that financial aid can be used at the beginning of each semester. You must buy your 8W2 books at the same time you purchase your 8W1 books.
  • You CANNOT rent physical books using financial aid.
  • You must buy your 8W2 books at the same time you purchase your 8W1 books.
  • Do not wait to buy your e-books. The free trial cannot be used throughout the entire term. Do not try to “beat the system.”
  • If you do not buy your 8W2 books when the financial aid window is open (the beginning of the semester) and you receive a financial aid refund, you will be required to pay for those books out-of-pocket.
  • Students starting in 8W2 ONLY can use their financial aid to pay for their books through Follett.
  • For additional help please contact Kentrelle Walker at kwalker@es.vccs.edu

Where’s my book?

Returning rented books

Students are responsible for returning all bookstore materials within the return window provided by Follett. ESCC is not responsible for missed deadlines or financial penalties associated with late returns. Students must package and return materials following the directions provided, materials may not be returned to ESCC.
