Eastern Shore Community College is recruiting for one part-time position reporting to the Financial Aid Coordinator.  The hourly rate is $12 per hour.  There are no benefits associated with this position.  This position provides a flexible schedule with up to 29 hours per week beginning in February 2019, or as soon as agreed upon.

 

Eastern Shore Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education and the smallest of the 23 community colleges in Virginia. The College serves two rural counties, Accomack and Northampton, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Responsibilities

To provide basic financial aid services by assisting students and the public with general financial aid concerns and questions. This includes helping students with the creation/retrieval of an FSA ID and completion of the online FAFSA application.  Assist with all functions pertaining to advertising, awarding, and administering financial aid as well as processing and certifying enrollments and payments for veteran students in collaboration with the School Certifying Official (SCO).

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.  Full-time work experience in an office environment.  Proficient in Microsoft Office with concentration in Word and Excel.  Must be detailed-oriented and proficient in following oral and written instructions / regulations.  The selected candidates must have the physical ability to bend and lift at least 20 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

College degree in a related field such as Business Administration, counseling, or finance. Excellent customer service skills. Proficient in mathematics and data base administration.
