Emergency Grading Policy

The Virginia Community College System has implemented an Emergency Grading Policy. For Spring 2020, the DEFAULT grading system will be a Pass, Withdraw, Incomplete (P/W/I) system. Please see details on the ESCC Emergency Grading Policy and Transfer FAQs documents.

If you wish to remain in the A-F system

(1)    You must fill out the ESCC Spring 2020 Grade Choice Form for each course.

(2)    You must email the form to your instructor and to gradechoice@es.vccs.edu.

(3)    The form must be submitted by May 4, 2020. (Broadwater Academy students have until May 15.)

(4)    If you inform your instructor that you wish to use the A-F system, you will not be able to change to the P/W/I system.

(5)    If you do not request the A-F scale by May 4, 2020, you will be graded on the emergency P, W, I system.
