May I use my own calculator?
Students are permitted to use the online calculator provided within the test on all but the first unit of the test. Students are not permitted to bring their own calculator.

When will I receive my scores?
You will receive a printout of your VPT results immediately upon completion of testing. Your score report, which will be explained to you by a counselor, will include placement messages informing you of your current readiness for college courses.

Is there a charge for taking the VPT?
The VPT is provided to you free of charge by Eastern Shore Community College.

How can I contact security if I need help?
Security is on duty whenever the college is open. Phones are located in every classroom and security can be reached via classroom phones by dialing 307990.

What should I do if I have to cancel class?
In addition to emailing your students and posting an announcement in your Canvas course site, you should also inform the Administrative Assistant of the Vice President at ASW@es.vccs.edu.

How do I reserve a room for a meeting or event?
If you are on campus, you can reserve the space yourself using the Virtual EMS Room Reservation System; otherwise, contact Workforce Reception at 757-789-7979.

What semester reports (or documents) am I routinely expected to submit and when are they due?
Office Hours sent via email to Administrative Assistant to Vice President at ASW@es.vccs.edu and posted outside your office — first week of the semester. Non-attendance report sent via email to the Registrar at registrar@es.vccs.edu.
