    What kind of scores do I need to earn my GED?

    In Virginia, you need a minimum of 410 on each individual test and a total score of 2,250 on the 5 subject tests.

    Are there any other requirements?

    You must go through an orientation before you test and present a photo  ID. You can only test 3 times per year.

    Can I take the GED test for free?

    What is the cost of the test?

    There is a first time test-takers registration fee of $10.00.  Test cost is $35.00 for for all five tests or $7.00 per test.

    Who can take the GED test?

    Any adult age 18 or over. Those under age 18, in special cases with permission from the school system, may be able to take the test.

    Where can I get a class schedule?

    You can phone 757.789.1794 for current information. If you prefer, come to the ESCC campus and visit Sabine Lovett in the White Building.

    Where do I register?

    You will register at ESCC on campus or at the class site you are planning to attend. All new students need to be assessed when they begin class. The instructor will welcome you to class and will get you started.

    Where are the classes held?

    Classes are held  on campus at ESCC and numerous sites in the counties of Accomack and Northampton. You choose the most convenient location.
