Mission

The Office of Research, Planning and Assessment at Eastern Shore Community College works collaboratively with all members of the College community to enhance the educational mission of the College as set forth by the Chancellor of the Virginia Community College System and the President of Eastern Shore Community College. 

The Office of Research, Planning and Assessment serves to assist all members of the college community with their assessment, program evaluation, and research initiatives.

This includes:

• Program and educational objective development
• Collecting and storing of information
• Analysis and reporting of assessment and research information
• Evaluation of the quality of assessment and research methods employed on campus
• Providing access to resources and data needed to successfully complete such initiatives.
