Business ManagementBusiness Technology: Business Management Associate of Applied Science Degree Small Business Management CertificateThe Business Management degree and Small Business Certificate are designed to meet the needs of recent high school graduates and others from the world of work who want to acquire new skills or supplement current skills in business management. In these programs, students will develop a professional-quality business plan and learn the skills necessary to own or operate an effective small business. Students will acquire the leadership skills required for promotion into a supervisory management position. A supervised internship allows students to apply classroom knowledge in an actual business setting.
Graduate CareersGraduates of these programs become entrepreneurs and small-business owners or are qualified for employment as: - general store managers

Required Courses and Semester PlanFacultyIrvin Jackson has been a full-time faculty member at Eastern Shore Community College since 1992. He holds the A.S., B.S. and M.A. Degrees in Business Management. He manages his own small business and has mentored countless others in the conceptualization of small businesses. Mr. Jackson admires the entrepreneurial spirit of his students and urges them to be part of the economic development of their community.
