Administrative Support TechnologyThe Administrative Support Technology (AST) Program culminates with the Associate of Applied Science Degree and Certificate. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in office occupations. AST students study traditional skills of typing and machine transcription in a state-of-the-art computerized environment. Courses in business management and office administration as well as a supervised internship prepare graduates to take leadership positions in a fully automated office.
Today's businesses require well-trained, versatile office technologists. Such individuals are in demand in local businesses and government agencies.

Opportunities for transfer exist. Required Courses and Semester PlanFacultyAnn W. Handy holds a B.S. in Business Education and an M.S. in Secondary Education. She has taught at ESCC since 1989. Ms. Handy supervises Phi Beta Lambda, an organization for business students. Ms. Handy encourages students to help and support one another in the small-class setting of the AST program.
