Phi Theta Kappa Attends 2017 Regional Convention

The Eastern Shore Community College Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa recently attended the Virginia/West Virginia Regional Conference in Richmond and collected an impressive number of honors.  First place awards were received for Fundraising, Distinguished Chapter Member (Crystal Roughton), and Honors in Action Theme 5.  Second place awards included College Project (Transfer Fair) and Distinguished Chapter Officer (Brittany Savage).  Third place awards were Distinguished Chapter, Distinguished Chapter Officer (Nicole Reyes), and for the “Fighting Cancer” Project category.
For the 16th consecutive year, the ESCC Chapter received The Five Star Award in the Chapter Development Program, plus Regional Honors in Action Project Recognition for Scott Snead (for his Local Legend Short Story).   Chapter Advisor Robin Rich-Coates was honored this year with the Continuing Excellence Award.

Attending for the Alpha Phi Chi Chapter of ESCC this year were Nicole Reyes, Maria Burns, Scott Snead, Crystal Roughton, and Daniel Elliott accompanied by advisors, Josh Taylor and Robin Rich-Coates.  The chapter was established in 1990 and provides many opportunities for leadership, service, and fellowship.
