MELFA –Representatives from more than 25 colleges and universities will participate in a “transfer fair” for students interested in attending four-year schools on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Eastern Shore Community College.  In addition to providing information about the admissions process and degree programs, college representatives will discuss financial aid, scholarships, and other related issues.  Many of the colleges participating have transfer agreements in place with ESCC.

Among the universities to be represented at the fair are Virginia Tech, Liberty University, Norfolk State University, and vocational schools such as Ward’s Corner Beauty Academy and The Arts Institute of Virginia Beach.  The information that will be provided to students will vary from school to school, but a smooth transition to a four year college or university is the goal.

High school students, college students, and adults who are interested in furthering their education are invited to attend.  The free event will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the ESCC Workforce Development Center.  Lunch will be available.  For more information, please contact Jody Baggett, Lead Counselor, or Camesha Handy, Success Coach, at 757-789-7991.
