Career Night Out and Women in Technology Held at College

Melfa, VA — When it comes to planning for college and career there are lots of options and decisions to be made. Students interested in learning more about exciting careers in science, technology, engineering, and math, attended the Career Night Out and Women in Technology Expo held at Eastern Shore Community College Tuesday, April 28.  This free, college and career planning expo focused on high tech jobs with great pay and exciting educational experiences.
There were practical demonstrations and workshops in electronics, welding, nursing and allied health.  Career and Technical Education students shared their experience with ESCC’s internship program.  The panel discussion highlighted local women who have great careers in technology.

The event was sponsored by Accomack County Public Schools, Eastern Shore Community College and Northampton Public Schools.
