Non-Credit Adjunct Instructors
Eastern Shore Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education and the smallest of the 23 community colleges in Virginia. ESCC’s Workforce Development Services unit is seeking Non-Credit Adjunct Instructors to teach and/or develop courses in the following areas: Hospitality and Food Service Management, Customer Service, CDL Class A, Real Estate, Information Technology, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Horticulture, SAT Prep, and Bookkeeping. This position reports to the Dean of Workforce Development Services and is responsible for developing and improving courses, instructing courses consistent with syllabi, evaluating student learning, and fostering student success.
$35.00 per hour, additional compensation based on a review of experience, and credentials
All non-credit adjunct faculty must have at least a bachelor’s degree in the field/discipline and be credentialed in the field/discipline taught; or an equivalent combination of experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Prior teaching experience desirable, along with strong communication skills, experience assessing classes, and classroom management skills.
