Full time position in support of Student Services and the management of all operational functions of the Admissions Office.  Providing admissions services to prospective and currently enrolled students, generating and disseminating pertinent correspondence, determining domicile status, and entering and updating placement test scores.

Begins 3/1/2017, or as soon as agreed upon.


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Download applications from SIS, and review for completeness and accuracy. Collect all required information and determine domicile status.  Receive high school and college transcripts.
  • Assign academic advisors and ensure FERPA standards are met.
  • Serve as the student information system data custodian for admissions. Run enrollment queries for the student services staff and administrators.  Maintain admissions tracking spreadsheet.

Provide information about the College and its enrollment policies to prospective students.  Assist students with course enrollment.  Assist with placement testing and College functions, including but not limited to orientations, open houses, college fairs and commencement activities.


Minimum salary of $24,969 with comprehensive state benefits package.

Required Qualifications

Associates degree in pertinent field.  Considerable experience in an office setting.  Intermediate to advanced computer experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.  Experience in a higher education office setting.  Experience using PeopleSoft Student Information System.  Strong written and verbal communications skills.  Strong working knowledge of ESCC and VCCS admissions policies and procedures, including SCHEV domicile policies.
