Programs and Courses Eastern Shore Community College (ESCC) offers degrees and certificates in a wide variety of programs and topics. There are four tracks through which a student may pursue studies.. You may review the information below for a general overview of each track. You may also work with an Advisor to determine which track may be most appropriate for your individual career goals. The four tracks of study: ESCC has available a Catalog and Student Handbook, with complete program descriptions, which you may view online. You may also wish to consult the Occupational Outlook Handbook, using keywords to search for information about your chosen career. Transfer ProgramsThe Associate of Arts and Sciences degrees are designed to provide the freshman and sophomore years of the bachelor's degree. The curriculum includes the English, history, mathematics, lab science, and social science courses necessary for transfer to a four-year, degree-granting institution. Students may choose a specialization which prepares them for their future baccalaureate majors. We offer certificates and degrees in an extensive variety of areas. To learn more about these programs, please visit: - return to top - Developmental StudiesESCC provides a program of developmental studies for students who are not completely prepared for occupational-technical or college transfer curricula. Mandatory placement in this program is determined by tests in mathematics, reading, and English. Based on test results, students may have full-time or part-time schedules of developmental courses. Students required to enroll in developmental courses should be aware that in most cases the time required to meet program requirements will be extended.
