Eastern Shore Community College (ESCC) provides high speed Internet access and state-of-the-art computing facilities to the community.

In order to responsibly safeguard campus computing resources, access to these systems is restricted to currently enrolled students, employees, and authorized guests. Access to information technology is granted to the extent allowed by the ESCC Information Technology Security Policy and by state policy.

All users of ESCC’s computers must agree to abide by the Virginia Community College System Information Technology Standards.

Students

Students enrolled in ESCC classes are automatically granted access to computers and accounts as explained in the Student Computing Overview. Currently enrolled ODU students must request access from the ODU Teletechnet staff.

Students taking distance learning courses at other colleges are often permitted to use ESCC computers in order to complete their course work. Preference will be given to ESCC students if the number of available workstations is limited. Students of other institutions must provide proof of enrollment and a valid photo identification card (picture ID).

Library Patrons

Visitors to the Library other than currently enrolled students should request computer access from the Library staff during their visit in order to use computers for research or email. Please visit the Library section of this website for additional information and valuable research tools.

Other Visitors

Community members who will be using campus facilities for meetings, presentations, training, or other authorized activities may be approved for computer access if needed for the meeting.

You must make your request for computer access or for the use of audio-visual equipment (such as the projection system or a laptop) at the time that you reserve access to space on campus.  This is done through the Workforce Development and Continuing Education Office.  More information on this process, including the forms you will need, can be found in the section on Use of Facilities.
