Open to the general public, the Library - Learning Resources Center (LRC) houses approximately 25,000 books and periodicals as well as a collection of videocassettes and other media; it also provides access to an extensive collection of electronic resources including 32,000 electronic books, full-text journals, newspapers, pamphlets and other reference tools. Community members 16 years or older, who have picture IDs and local addresses, may apply for library privileges at the Circulation Desk. This allows them to use resources and facilities and to check out materials. In addition to providing a quiet, comfortable place for reading, study and research, the LRC provides networked computers for information retrieval, email and word processing. The LRC is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays during fall and spring semesters. Use of college facilities is scheduled through the Office of Workforce Development and Continuing Education, using the form below. A fee may be charged for use of college facilities at times when the college is not normally open or when special services (such as teleconferences) are required. Facilities are not available on weekends. If you need computer access during your visit, you must request a temporary account in advance by submitting our request form.
