Accomack County: Eastern Shore of Virginia – The official web site for information pertaining to Accomack County.

The American Association of Community Colleges   – The American Association of Community Colleges is the primary advocacy organization for the nation’s community colleges. The Association represents more than 1,100 associate degree-granting institutions and some 10 million students. Formed in 1920, AACC is a national voice for community colleges, which marked their 100th year of service to the nation in 2001. AACC is leading the celebration of the colleges as they provide learning opportunities to their students and communities and the nation.

American Educational Research Association (AERA) – The American Educational Research Association (AERA), founded in 1916, is concerned with improving the educational process by encouraging scholarly inquiry related to education and evaluation and, by promoting the dissemination and practical application of research results.

Association for Institutional Research (AIR) – The mission of the Association for Institutional Research is to support members in their efforts to continuously improve the practice of institutional research for postsecondary planning, management and operations and to further develop and promote the institutional research profession.

Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) – The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is the principal fact-finding agency for the Federal Government in the broad field of labor economics and statistics. The BLS is an independent national statistical agency that collects, processes, analyzes, and disseminates essential statistical data to the American public, the U.S. Congress, other Federal agencies, State and local governments, business, and labor. The BLS also serves as a statistical resource to the Department of Labor.

Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce  – The official site for the Chamber of Commerce with a wealth of information and links to all things Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Eastern Shore of Virginia Tourism Commission – Information on events and activities on the Eastern Shore.

Kids Count Data Center – A project of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, KIDS COUNT is the premier source for data on child and family well-being in the United States. Access hundreds of indicators, download data and create reports and graphics on the KIDS COUNT Data Center that support smart decisions about children and families.

National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) – NCES is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education and home of the “Nation’s Report Card.”

Northampton County: Eastern Shore of Virginia – The official web site for information pertaining to all aspects of Northampton County, Virginia.

Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) – The  Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA; 404.679.4501) is the recognized regional accrediting body in the eleven U.S. Southern states (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia) and in Latin America for those institutions of higher education that award associate, baccalaureate, master’s or doctoral degrees. The Commission on Colleges is the representative body of the College Delegate Assembly and is charged with carrying out the accreditation process.

State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) – The purpose of the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia is to promote the development and operation of an educationally and economically sound, vigorous, progressive, and coordinated system of higher education.

U.S. Census Bureau – The premiere site for information related to U.S. population and trend statistics.  From this site you will have access to a variety of data mining tools as well as interactive features that permit the user the opportunity to tailor information for a specific audience.

Virginia Assessment Group (VAG) – The Virginia Assessment Group promotes quality higher education through assessment and institutional effectiveness practices in all Commonwealth, post-secondary institutions. VAG serves as a network for communication and collaboration among institutions of higher education, state and federal agencies, and accreditation bodies. VAG offers professional development opportunities and serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas.

Virginia Association for Management Analysis and Planning (VAMAP) – VAMAP is the professional organization for institutional researchers, planners, and budget officers at public and private colleges and universities in the Commonwealth of Virginia. VAMAP is also the Virginia state affiliate of the Association for Institutional Research.

Virginia Community College System (VCCS) – Virginia’s community colleges are a gateway to quality higher education and workforce services in the Commonwealth — for all of Virginia’s citizens. With 23 community colleges on 40 campuses in virtually every corner of the state, Virginia’s community colleges create a natural network that promotes economic opportunity, workforce development, and a better quality of life for all Virginians.
